Introducing the ASPE eNews Blog

Introducing the ASPE eNews Blog
By Todd Lash, Publications Committee Chair

The ASPE Board of Directors and the Publications Committee are pleased to announce the launch of the new ASPE eNews Blog on the ASPE website. The new blog will serve as the repository and archive of all materials historically delivered to ASPE members through the newsletters, as well as all future materials.

Links to the newsletter archives (APSE News from 2011 through 2014 archived at www.aspenews.org, and APSE eNews from 2014 through 2016 archived at www.multibriefs.com/briefs/aspeorg/) will be provided on the blog website. New materials will be posted to the blog, then periodically archived alongside the newsletter archives.

Blogging offers many features that will be of value moving forward. For example, materials can be posted on the blog as soon as they are available, eliminating the need to wait until the next scheduled delivery of the traditional newsletter. Another blog feature is the ability to tag posts, which allows readers to quickly filter all past entries by an area of interest. As with features offered through the ASPE eNews platform, members have the ability to share blog posts with other social media platforms simply by clicking on twitter or Facebook icons.

Lastly, the publications committee hopes that use of a blog will lead to increased participation from ASPE members in disseminating high quality reports of current research, trends, techniques and information regarding SP methodology to other members. Any member can submit materials that facilitate advancing the professional knowledge and skills of other ASPE members, whether publications, report, features, or other relevant industry news. If you have something to share that you think promotes best practices or fosters dissemination of research and scholarship in the field of SP methodology, please send it our way and we will be happy to post your suggestions and acknowledge your contribution!

Publications Committee Mission:“To bring high quality reporting of current research, trends, techniques and information regarding SP methodology and other relevant industry articles to the attention of the membership through the web-based ASPE eNews blog.”
