Best Practices Workshop, presented by ASPE, INACSL & SSH

Standards, Core Competencies and Best Practices in Healthcare Simulation Workshop

General Information

The Standards, Core Competencies, and Best Practices in Healthcare Simulation Series is a partnership program of the Association of SP Educators (ASPE), the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), and the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL).
The workshop includes four interactive one-hour sessions held online via zoom in order to provide better access to this important educational content for simulation professionals from programs of all sizes.  The program content is designed to help healthcare simulation educators improve the quality of their healthcare simulation programs and advance their professional development.  In addition, workshop faculty will review the simulation standards and resources available to assist educators in advancing simulation in a changing regulatory environment.

During this workshop participants will discuss the application of best practices in healthcare simulation, including the following:

  • INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation
  • ASPE Standards of Best Practices using Standardized Patient Methodology
  • SSH Accreditation Standards
  • SSH Certification Requirements (CHSE, CHSE-A, CHSOS, CHSOS-A)

Workshop Cost:  Only $75!
Only 100 spaces available per course

In support of improving patient care, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive a maximum of 6.0 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) Credits for learning and change.

Interprofessional Continuing Education (ICPE) Mission Statement

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) will deliver professional development opportunities for interprofessional healthcare teams working to improve the practice of healthcare through simulation-based education. This mission will be accomplished through the provision of interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) activities designed to improve both individual and team performance in simulation.
